The 5.8-inch, 18.5:9 display on the Galaxy S8 should be about the same width as the 5.1-inch, 16:9 display on the Galaxy S7, and the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ should be about the same width as the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge. Qualcomm has said its Adreno 540 GPU in the S8 is about 25 percent faster than the Adreno 530 in the Galaxy S7.

Both S8 models are taller than their predecessors, but widths are roughly the same to preserve one-handed use.
On the design side, the S8, according to DJ Koh, President Mobile Business, ushers in a new era without edges. Instead, Samsung is embedding a virtual home button in the display and moving the fingerprint sensor to the back. For one thing, Samsung says Bixby will be able to handle any smartphone task now managed by touch.
Both devices come with a 12 megapixel rear camera and an eight megapixel front-facing camera, as well 64GB of storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot.
Other features include Samsung Pay, and high-performance earphones tuned by AKG by Harman comes with the device in the box. In first for the Samsung Gear 360, live streaming to Facebook and YouTube is now fully supported at resolutions up to 2K.
