The latest Connecticut County Health rankings were released Wednesday, and the result show the vast differences between each county across the state.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute are out with their 2017 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps report.
Health outcomes represent how healthy counties are within the state, according to the organization. Twenty-two percent of the county's adults reported binge drinking or heavy drinking, compared to 17 percent statewide, according to the report.
In those suburban counties nationally, she said premature deaths due to drug overdoses have jumped from the lowest rate to the highest rate in the past decade.
Additionally, the rankings show drug overdose is the leading cause of death among Americans aged 25 to 44, according to the report.
Madison County's rate of physical inactivity, which is defined as adults over the age of 20 who report no leisure-time physical activity, improved as well, moving from 28 percent in 2016 to 26 percent this year.
It was St. Johns County's six consecutive year taking both the "health outcomes" category, which account for length and quality of life, and "health factors", a complex metric comprised of lifestyle habits, access to medical care, area socioeconomics and the physical and the physical environment around us.
Of the general population, 92 percent of county residents have graduated from high school and 63 percent attended at least some college classes.

Madison County has moved up one spot in Indiana's health rankings, but the county is among the worst for social and economic factors.
Adult smoking is at 21 percent; Missouri overall is 22 percent.
To quantify measurements, County Health Ranking finds the averages of responses within the counties and compares them with different counties around the state and country. Its 645 violent crimes is topped only by Miami-Dade's 650, and its rate of sexually transmitted infections is the highest in the state.
About 4.9 million young people in the US - one out of eight - fall into this category.
