A 5-year-old boy from North Carolina was killed in an accident at a rotating restaurant in Atlanta Friday.
The boy's family was in town from Charlotte, WSB-TV reports.
The rotating floor automatically shut off and Westin's security staff and employees were able to dislodge the child.
After wandering from the window table where he was seated with his parents, the boy got caught between the wall and a table, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown told the (Atlanta) Journal-Constitution. "They were moving furniture, they were pulling chairs - chairs that were bolted to the floor - they were pulling them up to try to get the child out". Emergency officials reportedly said that the boy was bleeding from the head and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
