"Give us the EVMs which will be used in Gujarat polls for three hours, you won't win a single booth", the AAP legislator said. He claimed the code was programmed into the machine during election.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, meanwhile, dared the Election Commission to give EVMs to the AAP which he said will change their motherboards in 90 seconds.

The AAP chief claimed an EVM could be "tampered with" in "90 seconds".

"When MCD poll results were announced I had said that we did not lose because of EVM machines".

Saurabh Bhardwaj started by explaining how different parts of an EVM work and then conducted a mock poll on a voting machine he had carried to the assembly.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj on Tuesday demonstrated EVM tampering process in the Delhi assembly. The Election Commission has challenged the party to try to hack a real EVM.

He did not name the BJP but provided enough hints to insinuate that the Bharatiya Janata Party was the beneficiary of the supposed tampering.

He added that this was also the case with regard to the arguments put out by the commission following allegations of EVMs showing votes cast for other parties during demonstrations going to BJP candidates in Bhind and Dhaulpur.

"When the AAP called the special assembly session, we expected that corruption charges against the Chief Minister and problems faced by the people of Delhi will be discussed", Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said in a series of tweets.

Bhardwaj, who told the Assembly that he had been a BTech degree in computer science and that he had worked on microprocessors and micro-controllers, said, "An ordinary engineering graduate like me can manipulate an EVM by working on it for just 10 to 15 days".

He alleged that fast eroding popularity of Kejriwal and the AAP party became clearly evident when its candidate lost his security deposit in the Rajouri Garden Assembly by-election, where VVPAT plus paper trail were used.

The Election Commission, which maintains that EVMs can not be programmed to favour any party, did not officially react. This can be done by changing motherboard of the the EVM. It is a danger to the democracy of the country.

The session began amidst high drama when opposition leader Vijender Gupta of the BJP was marshalled out after he created a ruckus raising corruption allegations against Kejriwal.

The AAP's attempt to whip up the EVM issue in the state Assembly where it has 66 of the 70 seats, comes at a time when the party is in the eye of a political firestorm over its sacked minister Kapil Mishra's allegations of corruption against Kejriwal and minister Satyendar Jain.
