BMW has teased its upcoming 8-Series coupe.

The German automaker confirmed to Road & Track that its 6-Series Coupe will not return to its lineup for the 2018 model year, although the 6-Series Convertible and the four-door, coupe-esque 6-Series Gran Coupe will stick around.
A high-resolution 8.8-inch display with satellite navigation is also available as an option on both models.
The all-new 2017 BMW 5 Series is likely to be launched in India at the end of June, 2017.
The cockpit has had the same upgrades as that of the 2 Series, including the new 22cm touchscreen, smoother horizontals and chrome door-panel switch gear. An eight speed automatic gearbox is standard for all variants, though the M6 versions have their own seven speed dual clutch transmission.
Powertrain options remain unclear at this point, but the 8 Series could share engines with the 7 Series, including a 3.0-liter turbo-six, a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8, and a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-12. The first all wheel drive variants of the 6 Series were the 650iX coupe and convertible. The xDrive concept ensures optimum power transfer, enhances driving safety and reduces understeer and oversteer through corners.
