Avery Bradley scored a playoff career-high 29 points, and the Boston Celtics beat the Washington Wizards 123-101 on Wednesday night to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Celtics can now advance to fight against the Cleveland Cavaliers if they win Game 6 this Friday, 13 May 2017, 8:00 am at Verizon Center, Washington. The Wizards scored the first four points of the game, but the Celtics scored the next 16 and never looked back.

John Wall had 21 for the Wizards, who haven't won a playoff game in Boston since 1982.

"That being said, we've still got to play well". "A guy like John Wall you're not gonna stop.He does a hell of a job on him". "He makes it tough, I mean nothing's easy". Marcus Smart was next, spelling Jae Crowder at the 3:50 mark before Terry Rozier and Kelly Olynyk replaced Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford.

Bradley said he was inspired by text messages he got from Thomas and Celtics' television play-by-play man Mike Gorman. Otherwise, they will return home for a mouth-watering Game 7 back at the TD Garden next Monday. "My mindset was just to come out and be aggressive". It should be that way for all sports, worrying about next week or next month or three months form now is silly, games should be treated as one-off events and when you get to the end, you add up the one-offs and see where you are.

The Celtics did the only thing that can keep Wall out of transition, and that is making sure there are no rebounds or turnovers for him to run with.

Part of the reason is that Bradley is playing so inspired is that he is coming off a truncated 2016 postseason.

It's a question that's followed the C's since the Hawks knocked them out in the first round of last year's playoffs.

He's made the most of being healthy this time around.

#NuggsForCarter breaks Ellen DeGeneres' Oscars selfie Twitter record
Assuming Wendy's gives him a daily allotment of one four-piece chicken nuggets, he'll eat 180 calories a day of nugs. A Nevada teen ousted Ellen Degeneres for the most retweeted tweet of all time.

After the Celtics' series-clinching, 22-point win at Chicago in the first round, Bradley was asked about some outward emotion he exhibited during the game. What happened here is what Thomas said after Game 4 needed to happen. "I feel like our training staff is the best", Bradley said.

"A lot of people are going to be booing me tonight", said a beaming Oubre during Washington's pre-game shootaround, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

I'm not exactly sure when and why the "two-way player" became distinguishable from every other National Basketball Association player, since everyone plays both ways. Avery Bradley did the heavy scoring lifting, going off for 14 of his playoff career-high 29 points in the first quarter. The both of them shot lights out from three point range, but they did not limit themselves.

The Wizards are well aware of Bradley's ability to disrupt offenses.

"Avery is the best on-ball defender in the National Basketball Association. You have to keep things simple.Defense is his specialty". Stevens also unveiled a few new offensive wrinkles with Thomas and Al Horford running the pick-and-roll with Horford as the ball-handler.

Now as his teammate, Horford has an even greater appreciation for what he provides.

LeBron James and his six NBA All-Defensive Team selections still gets left off of some "two-way player" rankings - although he is ironically often described as the best all-around player in the world.

But the praise he's received this series won't cause Bradley to slink back into a reserved posture. The latter is a somewhat unorthodox way for a 5-foot-9 player to impact the game, but Thomas was up to the challenge. When the ball is being trapped out of Thomas' hands, it's inevitable that seams will be created behind the defense. "But I have passion for every single game".
