At I/O 2017, Google leaders announced machine learning-based features like Suggested Sharing, Shared Libraries, and the ability to make physical photo books out of a user's images in Google Photos. What Other Features Will The Google Home Update Bring?

Hands-free callingA phone call is still the easiest and quickest way to communicate with someone and now Google Home is baking in support for phone calls.

Google has put additional automatic limits on what apps can do in the background in three main areas: implicit broadcasts, background services, and location updates. The report also says that it will integrate with other Google apps installed on users' iPhones. The new TPUs which can be rigged together to form supercomputers will be able to carry forward the AI-driven vision by helping developers train massive neural nets and even make inferences. It's also found on Android devices and the Google Home speaker. There will be new Wi-Fi features such as Wi-Fi Aware, previously known as Neighbour Awareness Networking (NAN), which allows devices to connect directly to each other via Wi-Fi Aware without any other type of connectivity between them, such as Wi-Fi Access Point or Cellular.

It is not expected that Google will announce any new hardware device at the I/O event; Google usually reveals such devices in the hardware event that is held during the fall every year.
