Sushil Modi, the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, said Kumar has on several occasions supported BJP and the Centre on various issues. There are 12 ministers from RJD in the Nitish cabinet, including deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his brother Tej Pratap.
Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today appeared before the special CBI court here in connection with four different cases in the multi-crore fodder scam case. Lalu was railway minister at the time. There is increased pressure on chief minister Nitish Kumar to sack Tejashwi to protect an image of clean governance. "Those facing corruption charges should face the public and come clean on the corruption charges. But we will not allow that to happen", he stressed.
In Poland, President Trump Opines on the West's Survival and The Apprentice
Trump wondered before answering his own question: "The reason is he thought Hillary was going to win". Trump told reporters in Poland Thursday that the outlet has been "fake news for a long time ".
The RJD has claimed that the CBI action against Tejashwi is a political conspiracy to destabilize Bihar's ruling Grand Alliance and "Nitish Kumar knew about it".
Unlike Prasad, Kumar has kept his options open by taking unpredictable decisions like his praise for the Centre's demonetisation exercise, and backing NDA's presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has advocated a similar alliance in Uttar Pradesh between Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party, has made it amply clear to his loyalists that they can't afford a fracture in the alliance.
In his post, (translated into English), Tejashwi Yadav says that he is dependent on the public, dedicated to development, has no love for honor, is not afraid of insults, holds interest of the public as his first priority, and has the poor as his crown. The organizers had neatly placed Tejashwi's nameplate at the event next to Nitish Kumar, but Tejashwi skipped the event entirely. Many political pundits are of the opinion that Nitish Kumar is exploiting the case to settle scores with Lalu, since tension has been long simmering between the two leaders, with Lalu trying to upstage him and install his son Tejashwi as the CM. "He will do whatever it takes to keep the present government alive".
