Dubai Media Office tweeted a video of the aftermath of the fire, which appears to have affected one corner of the tower and also caused damage to several cars parked on the adjoining street.
One video showed flaming debris falling from the skyscraper.

Firefighters in the Emirate had the blaze under control at around 3.30am local time, and the building was evacuated safely and quickly with no injuries or casualties. "People were streaming out of the auto parks of the building".
According to UAE civil defence teams, the fire spread uncontrollably partly due to flammable exterior cladding panels, similar to those used in Grenfell Tower.
"It's big fire started on 9th floor". Instant response to the fire helped in putting it out in a short period of time and avoided its spread to further floors of the building that could've resulted in more damages.
