Potential jurors were asked whether they or relatives had ever been inappropriately touched or wrongfully accused of groping someone; and whether they were fans of Swift.
Mueller was sacked after the accusation, and is suing swift for $3 million dollars. Swift is said to have thanked them and they left. He did admit he may have accidentally touched her ribs. Mueller took legal action in 2015, claiming that Swift's allegations were false and had cost him his job with the Colorado-based radio station where he worked.
"I know my palm was facing down".
"She forgot me", Mueller said.
The photo of that meet-and-greet, which was leaked previous year and shown in court on Tuesday, will be a central piece of evidence in the trial.
Day 3 of the trial is underway with a closed sidebar conference with attorneys from both sides and Judge Martinez.
Mueller, wearing a smoke grey jacket and a white shirt, sat in court with his back to Swift and her mother, Andrea Swift. She is seeking a symbolic $1, saying she wants to serve as an example to other women who have been assaulted.
Swift has said she is "absolutely certain" she was sexually assaulted by the DJ as they posed for a photographer backstage in Denver in 2013 with Mueller's girlfriend.
The photo, leaked past year and shown in court, shows Mueller with his hand hidden from view below Swift's lower back. Swift is due to give evidence later this week.
However, Gabriel McFarland, Mueller's attorney, said the photo did not show any inappropriate under-skirt touching, as Swift has alleged.

Mueller also testified that he was let go from a station in Kansas City, something that in a prior deposition he said did not necessarily help his radio career.
David Mueller, who lost his job at Denver radio station KYGO-FM over his encounter with Swift, testified on Tuesday that he made incidental physical contact with the singer as the two posed for pictures together, perhaps brushing her arm or torso. On Tuesday, the former KYGO DJ, David Mueller, took the stand after a jury panel of six women and two men was seated. He was also barred from attending any of Swift's future concerts.
Mueller is a former radio show host.
Swift watched the proceedings closely, occasionally conferring with her counsel.
He had also destroyed taped conversations about the incident with his bosses, said the lawyer.
Swift is countersuing, claiming sexual assault.
Eight jurors were selected Monday with Swift looking on in the courtroom, a court employee confirmed to AFP. She occaisionally wrote out notes to pass to her lawyers. One of the most pointed moments of the cross-examination came after Mueller described an anecdote that Haskell, his boss, had told him about grabbing Swift's butt as "like a fishing tale.he tended to brag, and he would tell silly stories".
