KXIP vs KKR Live Score

Reeves said, "When [Warner Bros.] approached me, what they said was: 'Look, it's a standalone, this isn't part of the extended universe'". In the July interview, Reeves described the film as a "standalone...not part of the extended universe". "Batman will be BATMAN..."

I'm told that the intention is to make an origin story that isn't part of any other iteration. When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit theaters early past year, the film was met with very mixed reviews, to say the least, but the one thing that most fans and critics seemed to agree on, nearly across the board, was that Ben Affleck made for one hell of a Batman.

With Hollywood's love affair with franchises seems to grow exponentially every day, the recent flurry of headlines about a Joker origin story, "Suicide Squad" sequels and spinoffs, and major "Batman" casting news is enough to make your head spin.

The character of the Joker was made memorable in two Batman movies as portrayed by Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger.

Well, you're never gonna believe this, but it turns out that The Batman will definitely be a part of the DC extended universe.

Additionally, the project falls within Warners' main line of movies based on their DC properties. But the Joker and Harley Quinn movie is also moving fast as Warners has to contend with actors' holding agreements, say sources. This may be the case for The Batman - which would be a relief, as some of the best Batman stories are the ones isolated to Batman and Gotham.

Qatar hits out at Saudi's restrictions on Haj flights
The move sparked a backlash in Doha, where authorities said the pilgrimage had been used as political ammunition. Saudi Arabia recently reopened its land border to Qatari pilgrims and offered to fly them to hajj.

This strategy will distinguish Warners' superhero movies from those of competitors, namely Disney, which has a highly interconnected Marvel universe of films as well as Star Wars. He explains that he wants his Batman movie to be "emotionally engaging", in that he's interested in being "even more inside of Batman" than in his villains, who often take center stage in many previous films about the character.

There was confusion because people thought the movie was not going to be a part of the DCEU.

During his talk, Reeves spoke about taking on the project and his vision for the character Batman.

I suppose we'll see how all of this pans out when The Batman opens in theaters in 2019. This would give WB the ability to still release a Batman solo film in the near future, but give them even more time to figure out what Affleck's DCEU future is.

The Batman is now in development and does not have a release date.
