Police say a toddler accidentally shot and injured two other children at a home day care facility in suburban Detroit.
The toddler fired either one or two shots that struck two children - both three years old, according to United States media which also reported that there were multiple guns inside the home.
Investigators will meet with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office to discuss whether charges should be filed, police said in the statement.
'My hope is he grows up and can forget what happened and what he witnessed, ' Damien's grandmother said. She also has six children of her own, between the ages of 2 and 15.
The shooting happened Wednesday morning around 10 a.m.in the 3000 block of Harding Street.

Meanwhile, Principal Secretary (Home) Atri Bhattacharya said, "None of the three almanacs prescribed immersion on October 1". They further said, "If you (State Government) get a dream, that something will go wrong, you can not impose restrictions".
The children were among multiple youngsters inside the house, known locally for its babysitting services, at the time of the incident.
"This is a tragedy that affects the entire community and we wish the best for the victims involved", Haddad said.
The combination of guns and children has proven to be a unsafe and deadly mix many times. Responding officers were spotted removing long gun cases from the Dearborn day care, which was reportedly unlicensed.
Tim Eubanks' cousin, Jarrett Schmidt, told Local 4 he has allowed Samantha to babysit his daughter before and knows his cousin is a hunter who would never leave weapons for children to find. Eubanks babysits kids of friends and family members, Ashley Escobedo, her sister, told the station.
Haddad said he was proud of the way the city's first responders handled the situation.
"My sister is totally against guns", Escobedo said.
