A magnitude 4.1 quake centered near Dover, Delaware shook the East Coast on Thursday, and was felt all the way from NY to Washington, DC, according to the USGS.
A 4.4 magnitude quake is considered minor and usually causes minimal damage, if any.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was approximately six miles east-northeast of Dover and hit at 4:47 p.m with a depth of about five miles.
Reports of shaking from the quake were reported in New York City and Long Island and as far north as Kingston in New York State.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injury.
It was followed by two less powerful 5.0 and 5.1 aftershocks in the same area, the survey said. She said there were no signs of damage at the base nor would there be any change in its operation.
