Fury is thought to be considering a comeback fight against the likes of David Price or Shannon Briggs for his first fight back by what then will be almost two and a half years.
Fury and his cousin, Hughie, had elevated levels of nandrolone in urine samples provided after fights in February 2015, UK Anti-Doping said. Tyson and Hughie Fury's position is that they have never knowingly or deliberately committed any anti-doping rule violation.
Both have strongly denied the nandrolone charges, saying the positive tests were a result of eating wild boar that had not been castrated.
The British Boxing Board of Control says it "acknowledges" the UKAD decision, and adds that "Tyson Fury's boxing license suspension will be considered by the Stewards of the Board in January".
The BBBofC revealed on Wednesday it will consider whether Fury will regain his licence next month.
Fury posted a video of himself singing to the 1990s Eminem song, Without Me, but changed the lyrics to parody the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) and ended with an obscene gesture and an expletive aimed at promoter Eddie Hearn.

"Get it out of your mind that it's cemented that I'll be going with you guys because I have a vast array of boards of control around the world with open arms welcoming (to me)", said Fury. Fury's missed test from September 2016 was settled as part of this week's ruling.
The unbeaten English boxer has not fought since out-pointing Wladimir Klitschko for the IBF-WBA-WBO world heavyweight titles in November 2015.
Both fighters' respective bouts in February 2015, including Tyson's victory over Christian Hammer, have been disqualified but results after that date, including the win over Klitschko, stand. He proceeded to call out current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua soon after.
He now claims to be on the road to full fitness and has spoken of his desire to reclaim the world titles, which are "rightfully" his. "I'm coming for you punk [isn't] no1 blocking my path now!"
Joshua defended his world titles in October, while the other two world belts are held by American, Deontay Wilder, and New Zealand's Joseph Parker.
Most boxing fans want to see Joshua fight Wilder but the British fighter seems wary of taking on the undefeated, heavy-hitting American.
