Word spread like wildfire Tuesday afternoon, with various sports media sources reporting that Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason has made a decision regarding his future; and all sources point to Seattle.
Eason's move sets up an interesting situation for Washington at quarterback, even though as a transfer he'll have to sit out the 2018 season. He'll have to sit out the 2018 season in Washington and will have two years of eligility remaining starting in 2019.
The expectations is Eason will return home to play for the Washington Huskies. He arrived at Georgia two years ago as a 5-star recruit, the team's most heralded quarterback recruit in years, and started all but one game as a freshman in 2016.
Potentially adding Eason means Sirmon and Yankoff will receive more time to develop under new offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Bush Hamdan. "Right now, I'm just spending time with this team ... and we'll go from there". In 2014, during Chris Petersen's first spring at UW, Eason was a regular at Husky practices, throwing a football with friends on the Husky Stadium sideline while wearing Husky gear. Then, in 2019, it looks like there will be a four-way battle for the starting job. While at Georgia, Eason completed 55.1% of his throws for 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns, with eight interceptions.
Leaving University of Georgia would make a lot of sense for Eason.

It looks as though several monitor manufacturers will build and sell the BFGD models, including Acer and HP. The first OEMs to announce G-Sync BFGDs are Asus with the ROG Swift PG65 and Acer with the Predator BFGD.
"It was a learning year, for sure", Eason said Monday night. "I think Jake did a great job this whole season".
Washington quarterback Jake Browning is coming off another stellar season, but didn't play well enough in 2017 to cement himself as an early round NFL Draft pick.
The Huskies have a plethora of young talent at the position.
